Proper etiquette when going to the Spa

If you are thinking about going to the spa to get a massage, there are a few things you need to consider so you wouldn’t be labeled as a rude and obnoxious customer that no masseuse or therapist would ever want to work with. Always consider the fact that masseuses are people and you need to treat them with courtesy. Do not look down on them and act as if they are beneath you. Be polite and courteous, talk properly and tell them exactly what you want so you can get a good massage. Don’t snap at them if they aren’t massaging you properly. You need to tell them where the aches are and you need to let them know as well if they are doing it right. Another thing you must always remember is that you must never go to the spa if you smell. If you exercised before going to the spa, then take a nice shower first so you wouldn’t be sticky and smelly. Remember that you do not own the Spa, and there will be other customers after you that will be using the same massage table. You wouldn’t want to follow after someone who has terrible body odor now, do you? These are simple things to remember, and it would be a shame for you to forget them precisely because it would reflect on you poorly. It would also be wise for you to let your masseuse know the amount of pressure you would want for your massage.
